Young Council
Young’s first flourmill was erected in 1866. This mill was one of the largest mills in New South Wales it was capable of storing 20,000 bushels of wheat and 100 tons of flour. The mill operated until 1895.

Victorian Gothic in style is built of granite opened in 1876. The building is cruciform, with a handsome spire over 108 feet in height from the base course. The side walls are 19 feet high, and the ridge of the roof about 42 feet from the ground. On each side there are five double windows, with a triplicate window in each side gable.

These are buildings located alongside an unused railway line which has the original track controls attached to the control house. Situated next to giant grain silos and grain storage facility.
